DESCRIPTION:The Gettysburg Community Concert Association is hosting a concert at St. James Lutheran Church on Tuesday\, April 9 at 7:30 p.m.\nAdmission is $20 or membership to GCCA. \nRead more below or learn more about GCCA! \nensemble132 is an American chamber music collective of today’s most distinguished young artists. A new\, versatile kind of ensemble\, e132’s dynamic roster of 11 like-minded musicians unite through their mission to reimagine the chamber music experience. Flexible in size and formation\, ensemble132 artists assemble in varying combinations to create a fresh energy and unique color in each performance. \nClaiming greater ownership over the interpretive process\, ensemble132 stretches the boundaries of chamber music by arranging and performing the full gamut of the classic repertoire.  Every e132 concert is crafted to spotlight original arrangements that deliver orchestral magnitude and a soloistic spark to the chamber music stage. At the same time\, ensemble132’s musicians bring their artistry of the highest caliber to traditional masterworks as well as unearthed gems. \nGetting to St. James \nFor your convenience\, a small parking lot is available at the rear of the church\, off Zerfing Alley. There is also handicap accessible parking spaces and a ramp into the rear entrance of the church. An elevator is available in the building as well. \nParking meters line York\, Stratton and Middle Streets. Street parking is free on Sundays until 1:00 p.m. \nThe Gettysburg Parking Garage is within walking distance of the church as well.

DESCRIPTION:A Concert and Conversation for Earth Day\nSunday\, April 21\, 2024\n4:00 p.m.\nWorship Space\, St. James Lutheran Church \nAll are invited to a concert of original songs and a conversation about Creation Care activities in the year ahead\, hosted by the St. James Creation Care Task Force. \nLast June St. James member\, Will Lane\, presented a concert of original songs focused on Building the Beloved Community. Now Will is back to present some new songs exploring and celebrating our complicated relationships with the natural world\, along with some musical song settings of nature poems by well-known American poets including Emily Dickinson\, Robert Frost\, Theodore Roethke\, and Jane Kenyon. \nA conversation about what comes next for Creation Care later in the year—with light refreshments—will follow the concert in the Gathering Area. \nA free will offering will be collected at the concert to benefit Creation Care programming and activities. \nGetting to St. James \nFor your convenience\, a small parking lot is available at the rear of the church\, off Zerfing Alley.
