DESCRIPTION:June 2-4 is the Gettysburg Pride Festival.  St. James Lutheran Church is a Reconciling in Christ Congregation. \nWe will be participating in the Gettysburg Pride March on Saturday\, June 3.  The march starts at 2:30 p.m. on Lincoln Square.  If you would like to walk with members of St. James in the Pride March\, please meet on the York Street steps of the church at 2:00 p.m. \nOur building will be accessible for the public to use restrooms\, get a drink of water\, and enjoy the air-conditioning\, before and after the parade. \nAll Are Welcome at St. James! \nAll means all\, and love is love!!  \nAt our worship services on Saturday\, June 3 and Sunday\, June 4 we will lift up our Welcome Statement and that we are a Reconciling in Christ Congregation.

DESCRIPTION:Building the Beloved Community\nSt. James Benefit Performance\nSunday\, June 25 at 4:00 p.m.\nAs we approach the anniversary of the birth of our nation on July 4\, we are reminded that freedom always comes with responsibilities\, to one another and to the natural world that sustains us.  We don’t stand alone but are members of a community.  We become the people we are meant to be as we work to strengthen that community. We take but we must also give back to the people and natural systems upon which we depend. \nLast September St. James member Will Lane presented a program of original songs focused on care of creation and the natural world. On Sunday\, June 25\, at 4:00 p.m.\, he will present a second program of songs celebrating the human community and our connections with one another. \nA free-will offering will be collected to benefit the Adams Rescue Mission Endowment Fund.
