Missionaries
St. James gives regular support to missionaries and mission programs in Liberia, Bangladesh, India and Haiti.
Utpal and Stacy Saha
Utpal and Stacy Saha serve with the World Mission Prayer League. Stacy works as coordinator and trainer of the midwife program at LAMB (Lutheran Aid to Medicine in Bangladesh) Hospital in northern Bangladesh. This program serves an area populated by more than two million people. Utpal oversees two Christian reading rooms and is a translator and educator for church leaders in the area. As the hospital and area grow there is an ongoing need for health professionals, as well as educators for the K through 10th grade school. Utpal and Stacy, along with their two children, visited St. James in August of 2006 where they spoke at all the services and presented Sunday programs for children and adults.
Brian Palmer
Brian Palmer teaches in Liberia through the ELCA global missions program. He was a guest of St. James in 2012 when he preached and shared stories of teaching in Liberia, and St. James’ connection to Brian and Liberia has grown over the years. Source of Life Ministries
Source of Life Ministries, rescues impoverished children in Haiti and was the site of a St. James Global Service Mission Trip in April 2016 and 2018. Learn more about Source of Life Ministries in Haiti.
