Support Groups

St. James is a convenient and safe space where local support groups meet in Gettysburg.

For ease of access to the designated meeting room, support groups are asked to use the side entrance on Stratton Street. This entrance will lead you into a stairwell, and there are signs directing you to your meeting location. Participants are welcome to park in the St. James parking lot, or find on street parking. If you need handicap accessibility, you are welcome to enter through the rear doors of the building off of Zerfing Alley.

There is a designated smoking area and receptacles near the stairs on Stratton Street. Please only smoke in this area.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

AA has been helping individuals overcome alcohol addiction for over 80 years. The District 35 AA group meets multiple times every week at St. James. Check out their website to see a complete schedule of AA meetings. Meetings take place in the Music Room.

Al-Anon

Al-Anon members are individuals who support each other in their concerns for loved ones with drinking problems. To see up to date information for Group ID 12104, visit the Al-Anon website and search for a group meeting in zip code 17325. Meetings take place in the Music Room.

Family Support: Autism & Intellectual Challenges

St. James has a support group for family members who have loved ones with autism and intellectual challenges. The group meets the First Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in Room 303, located on the upper level (an elevator is accessible).

Lust Recovery

St. James has a support group for those who suffer from lust and are overcoming this addiction. This is a private group meeting. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the church office.

TOPS

TOPS Club, Inc., is an organization that supports individuals in weight-loss journeys. The Gettysburg TOPS group is not currently meeting, but you can find another group near you on the TOPS website.
