Local Outreach
St. James Lutheran Church partners with and supports area organizations to help those in need.
World Outreach
St. James partners with many other organizations which provide services throughout the world.
VisiTeam
We are currently working with church members to establish a Visitation Team – “VisiTeam” to help with pastoral care, hospital & home visits, and just checking in on folks to let them know people at St. James are thinking about them.
Scouting
St. James Lutheran Church is the charter for Gettysburg Troop 79 and Cub Scout Pack 79, members of the New Birth of Freedom Council in the South-Central Pennsylvania of Boy Scouts of America.
Meeting times:
- Troop: Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., upper level
- Cub Scout Pack: Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m., lower level
Stephen Ministers are lay people – Christian men and women – trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation or separation due to military deployment.
