Ann Ketterman

I have lived in Gettysburg all my life and a member of St. James since 3rd grade. I have been a registered nurse for 40 years and currently work at Adams Oral Surgery in Gettysburg and Hanover.

I have been on the Early Learning Center Governance Committee since it’s launch. I also helped begin the Fastnacht Fundraiser.

Over the years, I have been part of staffing the Nursery during church, taking blood pressures, baking bread, and sacristy.

Since having three daughters, now 32, 31, and 27, I was and still am a member of the Parents Sunday School class, which is now Faith and Fellowship.

I served on a ‘five year plan’ committee many years ago and more recently on Pastor Mike’s Mutual Ministry Committee.  I look forward to a this new opportunity to serve St James.

Will Lane

I grew up on York Street in Gettysburg and sang in the youth choir at what is now Trinity UCC on the corner of High and Stratton Streets.

After working about twelve years in the building trades, I graduated from Gettysburg College in 1982.  During the remaining 80s and early 90s, I worked for several years as a wedding and portrait photographer (with my father, Walter Lane) and then shifted to the Adams County Head Start Program where I served as a Parent Involvement Coordinator, working especially with Spanish-speaking families and with the fathers of Head Start children. I am a founding member of both the Interfaith Center for Peace and Justice (ICPJ) and Project Gettysburg Leon (PGL).

In 1995 I began teaching writing at Gettysburg College and continued until 2020 when I retired as Director of the Writing Center there.  I continue to teach writing part time, now in the Environmental Studies department.

I live with my wife Anne Bucher Lane near Gettysburg and am the grateful stepdad of her three children—Hannah, Leah, and Nathan—and six amazing grandchildren—Cyrus, Cora, Alana, Preston, Lauran, and Nathan Jr.

At St. James, I sing in the choir, am a member of the Creation Care Task Force, and have served on Council this year, completing an unfinished term.  I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving if elected.

Ed Main

I have lived in Adams County all my life.  I was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arendtsville, PA until my wife and I became members of St. James in 1976. We participated in the Young Parents Sunday School Class.  I have participated in several Bible Studies with St. James members over the years.  My wife Sam and I have been married for 47 years.  We have one son, Josh.  Our son married his wife Jessy in 2014.  Jessy was baptized and became a member the following March.

I worked at Quebecor World in Fairfield for 19 years in Building Maintenance and Grounds Care thru many management teams.  Following this employment, I worked at Gettysburg Area School District as Head Plumber in Building Maintenance, Grounds and Security until my retirement.  In my retirement, my son and I designed and built an addition on to our home including a two-car garage, full woodshop, and second floor for lumber and equipment storage.

I have enjoyed helping with St. James when we moved the church offices during renovation.  I chaperoned the confirmation class with my wife to Washington D.C. in 1997.  I have helped with ushering during communion in Saturday evening services.  I have helped during Advent and Easter to decorate the church.  Presently, I assist my wife Sam with sacristy duties for Saturday evening services.

My hobbies include, woodworking, mowing, gardening, hunting and fishing, playing cards, and spending time with my family.

Shirley Sanders

I live in the Gettysburg Borough.  I have been married to Dave for 46 years (47 in December) and we have 2 adult children, Shane and Amy.  We also have 4 wonderful grandchildren.  I was a Kindergarten Paraprofessional for 29 years in the GASD but am now retired.  I am involved in Scouting, Relay For Life, deliver Meals on Wheels on Fridays as well as a few other things that keep me busy.  I love music, putting jigsaw puzzles together and spending time with family and friends.

I serve on several committees at St. James which include Social Ministry, Christian Education and the Early Learning Center Governance Committee.  I am a Stephen Minister and enjoy being a part of the St. James church family.
