World Outreach
St. James partners with many other organizations which provide services throughout the world.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are lay people – Christian men and women – trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation or separation due to military deployment.
Scouting
St. James Lutheran Church sponsors both Gettysburg Boy Scout Troop 79 and Gettysburg Cub Scout Pack 79, members of the New Birth of Freedom Council in the South-Central Pennsylvania of Boy Scouts of America. Reach out to the church office to be in touch with Shirley Sanders, the congregation Scouting representative, if you have any questions.
Meeting times:
- Boy Scout Troop: Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
- Cub Scout Pack: Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
